About This Tour
This walking tour is the easiest way to get your bearings in Seville. In a couple of hours, your guide takes you through the narrow, orange-blossom-scented streets of the Barrio Santa Cruz — the city's old Jewish quarter — and past the two monuments that define the skyline: the Cathedral and its Giralda tower, and the Real Alcázar, one of Europe's oldest royal palaces still in use today.
What You'll See
The route weaves through Santa Cruz's whitewashed alleys and flower-filled courtyards before opening onto Plaza del Triunfo, framed by the Cathedral, the Alcázar's Puerta del León, and the General Archive of the Indies. Along the way your guide points out the small details that are easy to miss on your own — hidden patios, the old city walls, and the stories behind Seville's transformation from a Roman settlement to the seat of Spain's royal court.
